Pen brought me to this specialty chocolate boutique in Sydney called Choco L’Art. As we all know, Pen is such an aficionado of anything chocolate (well, goya and the like is not on her top of the list). It is literally a haven for people with sweet tooth. And the chocs do taste yummy!
Pen ordered a cup of hot chocolate for me, which was a welcome during those cold days, and a serving of tiny chocolate ice cream cake. It was such a delight savoring each tiny bite.

The presentation is not to be missed. I had a tall cup of hot chocolate with milky foam on top. The chocolate in it (as I was told) was melted and was on the bottom of the cup so I have to mix it at once or it will harden. We had the tiny cake which we shared. It was enough for us that time as we just finished lunch somewhere. And that piece of kisses-like chocolate was free I think.

That swishy line of chocolate covering the strawberry hardened after some time so we have to scrape it off the plate. Sayang naman kasi kung iwan namin! Durog-durog na tuloy yung presentation after we left.
Me and Pen enjoying the desert. Sino mas nag-eenjoy? Hehe.

Unless I can buy my own laptop, I’ll have to resign myself into handpicking one or two favorite shots per day during my stay here in Sydney.
What’s the relationship of laptop and pictures? The secret of great photographers is that they don’t show their raw images or straight out of the cam pictures. They always do processing for their pictures. And my laptop cannot handle the bulk of it. Just one or two pictures for now will do.

One of the best churches we’ve been into. We heard mass here last August 2 in time for Pen’s bday. The 6PM mass was like a Simbang Gabi in the Philippines. It was already dark and cold! (cue “malamig ang simoy ng hangin…”). Pen and I were both freezing inside the church. I was only wearing a black long sleeves polo while Pen was I think on a 4 layers of clothing.

I sported a very bad headache this afternoon. I had meant to meet with an academic today, but by some fate issue (don’t ask me what I mean, I know I’m cryptic, I’ve been told many times) we ended up in two different suburbs. So anyway, the headache. It literally felt like my head was a tree trunk with two axe blades wedged on it. I spent some time walking in Parramatta streets to get some air. I ended up spending a lot of time in a shop called JB Hifi.
It’s mostly an electronics shop with all the merch I can look and handle all day. Today I hovered over PSP games, DVDs, CDs, earphones, headphones, desktops and laptops.

Yups, ika nga sa nakalagay sa header dito sa janep, ikakasal na kami!
Most of you know already anyway, since we’ve sent out ’save the date’ e-cards as early as February this year. I thought I’d write about it now, ‘coz I don’t think I have.
We’re working on the details still, but hopefully we can send out our formal invites to our friends in the next couple of months. Needless to say (but I’ll say it anyway) it’s tricky to work out details in wedding planning when you’re in our situation. Ajay and I talk to our folks on the phone and chat online as often as we can, to plan and execute wedding stuff. It’s reeeeeeally hard. But we’re happy that it’s going all right.

Photos from supersportsimages.com:

It’s from the walk-a-thon I joined last month! And yes I know, I do look like a geek.
Which now brings me to the next marathon I’m getting ready for in August: The CIty2Surf. It’s a run from Hyde Park to Bondi Beach. Sadly, Ajay won’t be here at that time (he leaves for Singapore the week before).

I participated in a marathon for breast cancer research today, Mothers Day. The event is organised by Members Equity Bank and Women in super. I have some pictures and tired legs to boot. Here’s my time for the 8km walk:

Here is a map of the track in Parramatta Park:

To all my friends and family who are mommys, Happy Mothers Day! Especially to my Mama, this one’s for you

When I was in Sydney, Pen brought me to the Pylon Lookout. It is that tower beside the majestic Harbour Bridge where you could get a good vantage view of the Opera House and Circular Quay.
You could see the Opera House from a bird’s eye view perspective. There are ferries and speedboats passing by which added to the lake’s activities.

The Harbour Bridge behind us. That is where we traversed it when we did the climb.

The city circle streets: We walked from St James Station to David Jones, and to Martin Place (where the fountain and city christmas tree is), past Queen Victoria Building (QVB) near Town Hall, to Darling Harbour, through to Sussex Street, stopped for Maccers (McDonalds) and back to Hyde Park. This walk was all because we had time to kill before the mass in St Mary’s Cathedral.

After the mass, we followed the World Youth Cross procession to Hyde Park, and stuck around for a while listening to christmas carols. Ajay took photos of the tiny Catholic crowd that gathered.
