I wasn’t very keen on watching Rivermaya here in Singapore when I heard that they were coming for a 2 night concert. Aside from the fact that the band is far from the old Rivermaya I knew, I am not following their music anymore. That being said, not seeing them is not that big deal for me. I can easily skip their concert with no feeling of regret.
So when Carol asked me to go with her to watch the concert for free, I was a bit hesistant because it is turning to be a long Saturday for me (Orchard Road shoot in the morning with PinoyCSers, Maan’s daughter 1st bday and the concert to wrap up the day). But then I gave in after I called Pen and asked if I can watch the concert.
The concert was great. The new faces are awesome and friendly. They sang the old Rivermaya classics and 2 or 3 songs from their new album.

Crowd was up on their feet dancing and singing along with the band. They had a solid set and shared smiles and laughs with the audience.

They were selling their latest CD at the venue but I have no money with me that night. Even if I wanted to buy one, I really can’t afford.
I may give it another try and listen to the new songs. I dunno, maybe I got tired of listening to Rico’s voice for the longest time. Since they have Jayson for their vocals, it maybe the new blood that the Rivermaya badly needs.

As it were, it seems I cannot update the blog as often as I like (as in daily-photo-of-the-day-entry). Work has caught up with me and some personal commitments during the weekends. I’ve attended (and covered!) two weddings here in Singapore. The first one was a friend of mine, their wedding was a simple exchange of vows in their home. I’ve yet to upload their pictures in my flickr but I do have the video collage right here. The second was an intimate restaurant wedding held in Sentosa. I get to shoot with a former officemate of mine and we were able to capture the moments of the wedding. Again, I have yet to upload these weddings to my flickr.
Speaking of which, I finally bought my Pro account in flickr. I bit the bullet last night and I think it will be all worth it! Prior to buying the pro account, I have maxed out the number of uploadable images in the free flickr account. And since I wanted to maintain it as my online portfolio, I bought a 2 yr subscription. Now I am planning to move my images to flickr and continue to organize and maintain it.
I have tons of pictures to upload in the next few days. I’ll do it slowly but surely. For the meantime, I’ll leave you with some Sandwich.

The perks of being part of PinoyCSers.
There will more Filipino talents that will be going here in Singapore to perform. Looking forward to all of ‘em and continue to shoot with the guys.

Was able to join PinoyCSers for a nature trip in Pulau Ubin. It’s a ferry ride away from ‘Singapore main land’. The sky was clear and the cloud formations are great. Buti di nasayang ang pagbilad sa araw.
Nature tripping plus walkathon equals sunog at pawisan na AJ. Not sure if I’ll be back there in the near future. Not much too see other than foliage and sky.
Rest of the pictures are in my flickr account. Too lazy to cross post here.

Pen and I are sort of neglecting janep. With all the other social websites that we are engaged in, it’s kinda hard to update the site.
This Little India trip I had together with the Pinoy Photographers here was taken 2 weeks ago.
It’s been shared everywhere but not here. I just forgot to post it here.

I flew back to SG via British Airways. Di gano kagandahan yung service nila unlike Qantas (though medyo katakot lumipad with Qantas last few weeks gawa ng mga technical malfunctions ng planes nila).
So ayun, sa BA ako nasakay. May isang meal lang at tapos isang set pa uli ng light snacks.

Unless I can buy my own laptop, I’ll have to resign myself into handpicking one or two favorite shots per day during my stay here in Sydney.
What’s the relationship of laptop and pictures? The secret of great photographers is that they don’t show their raw images or straight out of the cam pictures. They always do processing for their pictures. And my laptop cannot handle the bulk of it. Just one or two pictures for now will do.
