Nakapag-marathon PS2 ako nung weekend.
Iba talaga pag tao kalaban mo at hindi computer, mas nakakaganang maglaro. Apat kaming nagpapalitan sa paglaro, basta palit talo ang usapan. Ang tagal namin sa VS Mode, hanggang sa lumabas na si Devil Jin. Sa tinagal-tagal ko na paglalaro ng Tekken, ngayon ko lang nagamit si Devil Jin. Astig din pala yun. Medyo nahirapan lang akong laruin kasi Steve at Hwoarang ang players ko. Pero sigurado pag nakabisado mo na ang moves ni normal Jin, makukuha mo rin si Devil Jin.
Itong mga pinsan ko, kahit na di nila ganong alam yung mga combo ng mga players, natatalo pa rin ako. Button smashing lang ang ginagawa nila. Madalas akong matalo kina Law at Christie. Buwisit naman kasi ang combo ng mga yun, walang block kapag naunahan ka na ng mga sidesweep kicks nila. Mula alas dos ng hapon hanggang alas-nuwebe ng gabi kami naglaro. Tumigil lang kami dahil maghahapunan na. Pagkatapos nun, laro uli.
Tekken5, NBA Live ’05 at Fight Night Round 2 ang mga pinagsasalitan namin na laro. Nakakamiss din talaga ang maglaro ng di nag-iisa. Dati cheerer ko si Pen pag naglalaro ako ng Prince of Persia o maski NFS series. Ngayon ako na lang mag-isa. Mukhang mapapadalas ang dayo ko sa mga pinsan ko para makapaglaro kalaban sila.

Did some Photoshopping last weekend. I tried a black and white effect and recoloring similar to those hallmark cards. 
This was taken while walking along the CS building enroute Math Buidling.
This is at the Grand Carousel at EK. Sumobra ata ang itim ko dito hehe
This is at Villa Escudero while riding the cart pulled by a carabao.
I still can’t get the proper color effect such that the colored portions will stand out infront of the black and white backdrop.

I’m a self-confessed DVD duplicator addict.
It’s just the oppurtunity is there so why not take advantage of it. Plus the dvd media is so cheap, even cheaper than the country’s minimum fare.
I’ve been telling myself to get one of those higher-end blank dvds but come time of buying, I still buy those cheap generic dvds. Hey, it works for me!
Now that my supply is dwindling (I got about 10-15pcs left which is already an alert number for me), I need to buy my stuff or else I will not get my daily fix. Problem is, my budget was stretched from my last pay. I may not be able to buy my stock this time. Manginginig ako nito na parang adik na hindi nakatira sa isang araw.
This will actually be a first that I’m out of stock. Probably the only good thing that will come out of this is that I will be able to work more properly and more focused (well yeah, I actually do the duplication at work hehe. Evil me).
Anyhow, since I will be free from my daily fix, this is probably the best time to catch up with the dvds that I have actually copied. I started Firefly last week and it was good. The series is actually the prelude of the movie Serenity which I heard is not a box office success but the dvd sales are skyrocketing.

When I started reading comics again last 2004, I had a lot of storylines to catch up with. There were a lot of stories that are still being referenced in today’s current storylines.
The casual reader may know that Superman died but was resurrected after sometime. But do you know that there are other superheroes that ‘died’ but was resurrected later on? That the original Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, died and was recently re-introduced. That Flash is already on it’s third generation, so is Robin. Spider-Man was recently dead and then brought back to life. Bruce Wayne almost gave up his Batman persona but decided against it.

Since last year, you, our ever faithful Sony DSC S30 digital camera, have been acting strange. You are not focusing properly and are not charging properly. We’ve missed too many great photo oppurtunity dahil lang nag-iinarte ka. I tried so hard to fix you by myself. You know so well that money is hard to come by these days that I can’t afford to buy a new battery for you. I tried to bring you to Sony Service Centers but everytime I decided to bring you, you suddenly work properly. I figure you needed a new battery but I do not have the assurance that you will be magically fixed if your whim is granted. That’s 3.7k down the drain. You’ve been with us since 2000. We’ve taken so many memories with you. I’ve filled up 2 CDs with your shots. When I bought you, I was the only one who has a digital camera. Astig tayo nun! Pakiramdam ko, lahat ng kakilala ko na bumili ng digital camera ay dahil nainggit sila sa atin. We were the center of attraction for every event we went to. But now, it’s time to retire you. Okay, not maybe bury you to your grave but give you some rest. Like all of us who are aging, we need to step back and let the new kids shine.
So, I bring you your predecessor. DSC S30, I would like you to meet A520 – he will take care of us where you left off. He’s much sexier than you but I don’t know (yet) if he can perform well like you. One thing I’ll surely miss is the swivel screen that you have. A520 doen’t have a swivel screen so Pen and I will have a hard time taking pictures of us when we are left alone. You know, I will really miss you. I’ll check on you once in a while to see if you can still perform properly. Who knows, I maybe able to bring you to a service center one day and altogether fix you. Goodbye for now our faithful DSC S30. Thank you again for all the memories you captured for us.

Pen and I recently agreed to buy a Canon A520. Not at all flashy and that hi-tech considering all other digital cameras out there. But we think, it will equally do the job. And of course, it’s not the tool that you use, it’s how you use it.

I never had a toy inspired by a PC or Console game. I initially want those Diablo II figures but when I decided to buy one, they are nowhere to be found.
There are still a lot of Street Fighter action figures in the malls but I am not really a Street Fighter player. When I stumbled upon this image, I sincerely hope I’ll be able to buy at least one.

Sabi ni Pen nung inabot ko sa kanya yung cd ng mp3s na may tatak na Indie, “Ano ‘to, Indiana Jones?”. Hehe.
Nawiwili kasi akong makinig ngayon sa mga independent local bands. Na-impluwensiyahan ako nitong officemate ko na dating gitarista ng Narda. Astig ding makinig ng mga bagong tugtugin na hindi alam ng iba.

Maganda yung Itchyworms. Kaka-release lang nila ng 2nd album nila kahapon. Concept album na ang theme ay Noon Time Show. Yung Kiko Machine may tamang PnE – hilarious lyrics at maganda rin ang tunog. Kung bibili rin lang ako ng mga original CDs, mga ganitong klase ang bibilhin ko. Hirap din kasi ang inaabot ng mga independent bands sa pag-produce ng albums nila.
Suportahan ang sariling atin. Lalo na ang mga aspiring bands natin.

Gone are the days when I download songs one-by-one.
With the advent of hi-speed internet connection, full albums can be downloaded in a matter of minutes (somewhere between 20-30 mins). I’m in a streak right now. I don’t even need torrent files to download them. You just need to be a little creative and resoureful to get your needs.

Eversince I bookmarked Jim Lee?s group blog, I?m hooked with their arts. You get to see behind the scenes of a comics publication.
I especially like those entries where they post raw or freshly drawn art using pencils. Then the next entry would be the inked version of that raw image and finally they post the colored version.
Simply fascinating these artists are.

I know I posted that I got the ebook of Harry Potter 6 sometime last month. As expected, I was not able to read it infront of the PC. I think I only got until the 2nd page. Work was loaded this past few weeks and I haven’t been able to open the ebook again.
I borrowed Pen’s unopened hardbound copy of Harry Potter 6 (she finished reading the book via her PDA) so I can read it at home. I’m still reading a grisham book in bed so Harry should wait a while. Jamie, my sister, started reading it though.
If I can’t read it, might as well listen to it. 
I got the Harry Potter 6 audiobook. It’s a huuuge download and dial-up users should not even try to download it.
Am listening to it right now.
