I sported a very bad headache this afternoon. I had meant to meet with an academic today, but by some fate issue (don’t ask me what I mean, I know I’m cryptic, I’ve been told many times) we ended up in two different suburbs. So anyway, the headache. It literally felt like my head was a tree trunk with two axe blades wedged on it. I spent some time walking in Parramatta streets to get some air. I ended up spending a lot of time in a shop called JB Hifi.
It’s mostly an electronics shop with all the merch I can look and handle all day. Today I hovered over PSP games, DVDs, CDs, earphones, headphones, desktops and laptops.

God of War 2 lived up to it’s expectations!
My excitement whenever I play the game is always 101%.

There are a lot of new moves and finishing kills. Puzzles are harder but the villains are pretty much the same as the first game. This game is a button-smashing galore! I don’t even care to memorize all the combo moves, square button smash and triangle button smash are enough for me.
I’m already more than halfway through the game. With my trusty walkthru on my side, I easily complete the hard puzzles. Yeah, yeah, AJ is a cheater. But my excuse is I don’t have much time to play the game. As said, I can only play on weekends and after Pinoy Big Brother on weekdays.

I know I have to finish the game before I fly out of the country to check some rhinoplasty.

The much anticipated game for PS2 is finally here.
Special thanks to Jie for buying me a copy.
God of War 2!!!

I excitedly put the disc last night just to try it out and see if it is working. I literally have to stop myself from going all out and play it through the night.
You may have known how I loved the first game. This I think is one of those games that I’m really looking forward to playing in PS2.
I may have to play the game overtime to be able to finish it on time. This would require careful time planning because my folks and sisters are watching Pinoy Big Brother every night (I’m linking Retz’ site instead of the abs-cbn site just so you know). Hmmm.. That would be a challenge.
Anyway, so far the game looks promising and the graphics is still awesome. Reviews for this game all over the net is astoundingly great and I think expectations have been met. I’ve armed myself with a walkthru when I play the game this week.
OT: anybody looking for La Jolla Homes for sale?

I’ve been reading comics since 2004 but it’s just a couple of months (November I think) that I discovered Wizard Magazine. It’s a complete fanboy guide for comics preview, snoops, interviews, reviews and everything related to comics.
Wizard is a magazine about comic books, published monthly in the United States by Wizard Entertainment. It includes a price guide to current and valuable comics, as well as comic book, movie, anime, and collector news, interviews, and previews. It is known for its “fanboy” sense of humour, which is shared by all the magazines published by Wizard Entertainment.

At looong last, I have my own DivX/Xvid player. Now I don’t have to convert the videos I download. I can enjoy the TV series infront of a TV not on the pc monitor. I can watch the tons of animes we collected during our stay in UP. I can watch American Choppers, Top Gear, National Geographic Documentaries, BBC Documentaries at home lying down on the sofa. Not to mention Prison Break, House, Lost, Smallville, Justice and other TV shows currently being shown in the US.

Since Pen is currently in Sydney, I have more time to read my pocketbooks. I actually bought a bunch of books from Booksale that are still to be read not to mention the backlog of books I have at home.
Surely You’re Joking Mr. Feymann.
This is not a novel. This is a hilarious insight of the life of a great physicist and Nobel Prize winner Richard Feynmann. The book is full of anecdotes of the colorful life of Feynmann. The book aptly describes him as a “curious character”. He tried so many things in his life outside physics and even excelled in some of it. The book is all worth it. I have finished it some years back and read 3 or 4 anecdotes of him every night - pampatulog ko.

A little comic geek post here.
I just finished reading Civil War #2 (a Marvel mini series) and in that issue, Spider-Man unmasked himself in front of the people during a press conference.
Marvel bigwigs refer to this as “arguably the most shocking event in comic book history”. True enough, it shocked many comic readers throughout the world. Message boards are swamped with this revelation and is currently being discussed anywhere. Even Yahoo! News covered the story.
I’m a little bit torn myself. After all those years of Spidey protecting his true identity, he gave in to the pressure and revealed himself. Interestingly, Aunt May (the old lady in Peter Parker’s life) and his wife Mary Jane helped him decide on this move even if it means they are now more prone to danger against the bad guys.
So there. I just hope that this is not another dream sequence that will just reset everything back to normal.
