I participated in a marathon for breast cancer research today, Mothers Day. The event is organised by Members Equity Bank and Women in super. I have some pictures and tired legs to boot. Here’s my time for the 8km walk:

Pahinga muna sa pag-impake at surf muna.
Hirap palang mag-pack for a long haul. I have to fit my favorite clothes in the baggage. Not to mention the necessary office suits/attires that I should be bringing. Buti kahit pano nagkasya ang mga damit ko sa bagahe. Bahala na kung mag-excess baggage bukas.
Nakakapagod. Gusto ko nang matulog pero marami pang mga dapat ibilin sa bahay.
Dumating pa pinsan ko. Iinumin namin yung Red Label na bigay sa akin ng office mate ko. hehe
Next entry for sure asa Singapore na ko. ü

Ang magulong angkan ng Jorge ay nagtipon-tipon na naman.
We had our annual reunion last Dec 30. This tradition started when I was still in elementary I think. It lasted the years and even if money was scarce. It was always pointed out that ‘mas mahalaga ay magkasama-sama tayo’.

Kahapon, reunion ng angkan ng Jorge. Walang bumili ng San Mig Light, Red Horse na lang daw para mabilis. Ayun, mabilis nga. Wapak kaming apat. Oo. Apat lang kaming uminom ng kung ilang grandeng Red Horse.
Bangenge kami. Bigat ng ulo, pa-suray-suray na kung maglakad at syempre walang kamatayang videoke na lashing style. Solb.
Buti na lang at walang hang over tong Red Horse. Kagigising-gising ko lang ngayon at nag-online ako para maka-usap ko si Pen.
Yung pictures, tsaka na lang. Kukunin ko pa yung kopya ng kuha ko dun sa 350D nila Nandy at Cia.

This may not be the best Christmas slash Birthday that I will be having. It’s definitely not the same with Pen in Sydney and me here in Manila. We’ll have to make do with the special circumstance we are in now. No sense in sulking up and pouting in a corner.
I’m trying to ward off my holiday blues by attending all possible invitations that land on my face. Save for Maan’s wedding (sorry talaga Maan ha), I’ll be going to all of them. There are a lot of parties and celebrations that are on my list and topping ‘em all is an invitation on Pagudpud with FerCia (ala Bradgelina and Tomkat hehe). I hope this pushes thru and that it will fit the budget.
Since Pen is in Sydney, holiday shopping spree from the two of us is put on hold. We used to frequent Greenhills during this time to buy gift items for friends and families. So don’t expect me giving out gifts come gift giving time. I’ve no patience in choosing and buying all by myself.

Not yet sure how serious it is but I do know that he is currently confined in the hospital because of the complications of his diabetes. I’ll skip the details, suffice to say that there’s a possible operation that may need to be done.

Today is Labor Day for most of the people. But for us here at home, today is the bday of our mom.
We used to go to Antipolo Church during this day as today also starts the feast of the Virgin of Antipolo. We would go there to hear mass, touch the Virgin, buy suman and kasuy then go home for the celebration. We stopped the tradition because the crowd that goes there has increased ten fold. It isn’t practical anymore to spend most of your day making way through traffic.
Today, we just prepared a small handa. It’s just pansit and halo-halo for us and whoever drops by. I think it’s just fitting to stay at home and just lounge around. With the unbearable heat in the country, the next best thing we could do is to have an unlimited servings of halo-halo.
Happy happy bday mama, from all of your kids.
