The Incredibles vs. The Fantastic Four
AJ Jorge July 10th, 2005
Pen and I were able to watch the Fantastic Four movie last Friday at Glorietta4 last Friday.
On the way out of the moviehouse, I blurted out that it would be great to see a crossover between the Incredibles and the Fantastic Four.

Imagine:
Mr. Incredible vs. The Thing
Mrs. Incredible (ElastiGirl) vs. Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards)
Violet vs. Invisible Girl (Sue Storm)
Dash vs. Human Torch (Johnny Storm) – the pairing is a little off but there’s no one else to match.
This would be a great showdown between two super-families. Mr. Incredible and The Thing will have a slugfest. Elastigirl and Mr. Fantastic’s fight will be stretched ’til the end (pardon the pun). Violet and Dash will put up a good fight versus Invisible Girl and Human Torch but will ultimately lose. The 2 kids cannot handle 2 grownups. Then when the Incredibles are down, a main villain will show up. This main villain is the reason why the 2 super-families
fought. The super-families have no choice but to team up and beat the main villain. Add some other twists and turns and funnly one-liners and this movie will be a hit. Nice eh?
Crossovers are great. It is a dream come true for every fanboy. You get to see 2 unlikely persons/teams in one storyline. It’s been done a countless of times in comic books but I have yet to see one in movies.
Imagine James Bond and Triple X. Indiana Jones and Lara Croft. Blade and Van Helsing. Bad Boys and Charlie’s Angels. Wow. I’m actually smiling while typing this. These are great characters and making a crossover between them will surely be a box office wonder.
It’s just that making these kinds of movies are too costly. And copyrights will have to be ironed out properly. Not to mention the right script so that one character will not be overshadowed by the other.
Now I can’t wait if they will make a Superman/Batman movie.
