ePinoy Sites

I’m very sorry to you guys with blogs hosted by ePinoy. I have been in constant communication with the admin of ePinoy and he told me it will take some time to make the site up again. He also told be that the files are safe but the database may not be there anymore. He’s doing his best to get the site up again.
I got Pen’s epinoy site backed up last July 17 and I already dumped her site under the janep domain. I think I lost 1 or 2 posts from her latest entry. You can see her blog here at blabbers.janep.org.
If and when Ferdz of epinoy get the site up again, we’ll do a clean back up of your sites (Pen, Noims and Jie).

I’ll be posting here now too… 
I’ve been logging offline for the past couple of weeks. Aha, I’ve rediscovered the pleasure of keeping a private journal, or “diary” if you please. Undoubtedly, my language is more colorful! So that is reserved now for my eyes (and anyone sneaky enough to pry off my handheld from my fingers…)

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

As you may have known, after 12 hours of the book’s release, e-books of it are already spawning in the internet world. And after 2 days of, I finally have a copy. I spent a total of 2-3 hours of searching where to get a copy. When I found one, I couldn’t finish the download because of my crappy dial-up connection at home. So I have to wait a full day to get my copy in the office. And yes folks, I already have one. Hehe.
I already have a pdf copy in my drive. I know Pen and Jie can upload it in their PDA and cellphones respectively but I doubt that they will do that. Pen got her hardbound copy last Saturday morning at Powerbooks Glorietta. And I know Jie is too lazy to read e-books from his game and watch phone. As for me, I just have another option what to do with my idle time in the office.
It’s a 827 page e-book. I don’t know if it has the same number of pages as that of the book itself.
And it makes me wonder, how to these people make an e-book anyway? Do they scan it or they type it manually?

Hi folks.
After sometime of gut-wrenching thinking of how to make use of this domain, Pen and I finally decided to use our trusty ol’ WordPress.
You may have seen the previous incarnetions of this page. I initially tried to use Drupal but the there were not much themes around to play with. I tried to use it and shrug off some aesthetic concerns but I have no time to overhaul the theme that I want. Don’t get me wrong, Drupal is a great CMS tool. TWIT is even using it.
Next I tried the Mambo system. Mambo has tons of great themes. So many that you would want to build every theme to your site. Problem I had with Mambo is that it was ‘too bulky’ for the purpose of this site. Great components, great plugins, great themes but it was too much. I admit, if I ever push through with Mambo, it will be a pain in administering it. Oh, another reason I dropped Mambo is because their themes/layouts are still in table‘d format. CSS is the way to go now baby.
So there. Here is the final product. WordPress still gets my vote.
I hope you’ll not get tired of visiting the site even though Pen and I still maintain separate blogs.
