Clothes
by Aj

Ok, I may have to apologize with this one. I spent the whole sunday at home and cleaning the room and doing chores. I did not go out to take picture and I know Pen would get mad if I do not have one for the day. So this is a very last minute photo taken by iPhone. I just finished ironing my clothes for the month and took a snapshot of it. Did some post processing to somehow salvage the colors. I’ll be better next time, promise.

TV on Board
by Aj

When we head home to Singapore from Malaysia, we took the Premium Bus. Not only the seats were comfy and spacious, we each have our own small tv! We also had a ‘bus attendant’ (much like a flight attendant). Breakfast was served and the 5-hour ride was very pleasant. Oh before I forgot, the big bus is a 23-seater bus and there were only 7 of us on board. It’s like we chartered the bus for ourselves.

Sunset moment in Malaysia. Borrowed filter from Joel and added by starburst filter. One of my satisfying shots taken in Malaysia. Hope you like it as much as I like it.
Kenshin speaks in English!
by Pen
Spent a bit of time in Borders this afternoon. Again visited the manga shelf.

Perhaps the story closest to my heart is Rurouni Kenshin. I have very little patience now in watching anime and reading manga, but the only story that still brings me delight as fresh as the first time I read/seen it, is Kenshin. My friend Rowena got me a copy of the final Volume from Tokyo, which was in Japanese. I can still read Japanese, but my vocabulary is decaying fast.
I haven’t seen a vast collection of manga in English before as the one in Borders. And if only the Kenshin volumes were complete from book 1 to 28, I would buy them all in a heartbeat. But what’s annoying is that all the good volumes are missing from the set. Kenshin vs Shinomori Aoshi (vol 9), Kenshin vs Seta Soujirou (vol 16) and Kenshin vs Makoto Shishio (vol 18 and 19, I think). This photo is from a spread in Volume 15, where Kenshin starts to fight Soujirou for a second time, while the rest of the Kenshin-gumi battle with the lesser of the Juppon gatana. The really good part of Kenshin’s fight with Soujirou is in Volume 16, which is NOT in the store. There are some clips in youtube of this fight.

My worksite here in SG. We are not in the city district with tall buildings and all. We belong to the manufacturing side of our company. It may not be a glamorous building but I still belong to a great multinational company.
Chii
by Pen

Was my first day back in the lab today. I was happy to see Chii was where I had left her, on my red mousepad on my desk. I left her there in November. She was the only figure I had brought with me to Sydney in 2006. Now I came back with a few to join her: Sora, Kenji and 2 other versions of Chii
Photos of them soon.
