St. Mary’s Cathedral

One of the best churches we’ve been into. We heard mass here last August 2 in time for Pen’s bday. The 6PM mass was like a Simbang Gabi in the Philippines. It was already dark and cold! (cue “malamig ang simoy ng hangin…”). Pen and I were both freezing inside the church. I was only wearing a black long sleeves polo while Pen was I think on a 4 layers of clothing.

THANKS
Ajay’s currently in a call with his peeps from work (for almost an hour now). I’m able to sneak in a blog post to say THANK YOU to all you lovely people for sending me your birthday greetings. It’s delightful to get messages in all these different ways. SMS, email, facebook, friendster, gtalk, yahoo, phone, voicemail. I liken this delight to the feeling after finding money in pant pockets or between the leaves of a book. Especially friendster (which I opened out of boredom), I was pleasantly surprised to find a bunch of people had flooded my inbox, and a handful on the comment area of the profile page. So lovely to get bday greetings. Thank you all!

Though I have to say, not one single card through the post this time!! Tsk, tsk… what was once conventional has just bitten the dust for me, officially. I still used to receive postcards up until last year (Ajay’s cards from early this year don’t count). Or maybe I’m not as good a correspondence?

Happy Birthday Pen!!!
We are at the Sydney Apple Store as of writing. AJ using a MacBookPro to [and won't let go -- Pen] to post this entry.
Heading to eat at maccas [fancy slang for McDo] for lunch then off to Darling Harbour to buy some chocs for folks in Singapore.
