Maraming beses na kitang nilayasan
Iniwanan at iba’ang pinuntahan
Parang babaeng mahirap talagang malimutan
Iisa pa lang ang aking laging binabalikan
Manila
I keep coming back to Manila
Simply no place like Manila
Manila, I’m coming home
I walked the streets of San Francisco
I’ve tried the rides in Disneyland
Dated a million girls in Sydney
Somehow I feel like I don’t belong
Hinahanap hanap kita Manila
Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga
Mga jeepney mong nagliliparan
Mga babae mong naggagandahan
Take me back in your arms Manila
And promise me you’ll never let go
Promise me you’ll never let go
Manila, Manila
Miss you like hell, Manila
No place in the world like Manila
I’m coming here to stay
Sarap palang kantahin nito sa Magic Sing pag asa ibang bansa ka. Feel na feel!

We haven’t shared the Singapore Zoo experience we had here. I uploaded the photos sometime last month I think but Pen procrastinated as usual (tee-hee).
So, here are some pics we wanted to share (hopefully Pen will add some comments and side remarks on this entry).
The Singapore Zoo!

There are basically 3 animal park here in Singapore – Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari and the Singapore Zoo. Yeah, we went to all three – on different days. One cannot complete the three zoos in just one deal.
Obviously, Jurong Bird Park is exclusive for birds, Night Safari is for the nocturnal animals and the Singapore Zoo is for all others that doesn’t fit the first two. It’s all good nonetheless but Pen and I ranked it the last among the three.
There’s a tram ride within the zoo itself but we felt like walking the whole day. There were trinkles of rain but not really pouring down.

Sigh. I miss the beach. Especially the powder sand beach of Boracay.
Photo taken by Pen using the trusty Canon Powershot A520

I don’t know if we can go back there if and when we go back to the Philippines. Pen and I are eyeing to go to Bohol or Palawan or Camiguin instead of Boracay again.

There’s my baby.

It’s a steal. Bought it especially for its color. But well, I need new strings…

I attended a basic Photoshop workshop yesterday from the online pinoy community PinoyCSers. It got me into the mood to do some photoshop magic today. Apart from enhancing digital pictures, manipulating photos is not uncommon anymore. I tried the comics-style with the image above. Took me about an hour to do it.

At this time the sun rises between 5-5.30am and sets at 6-6.30pm. The days are getting longer at 12 hours of sunlight. That means summer has almost come in Aussie-land. The temperature still fluctuates between 15degrees celsus and the high 20s, so it still feels like spring.
In December, sunlight will linger for 14 hours in a day. That means sunrises at about the same time as now, but sunsets at about 7:30-8pm.

Without any cooking experience back in the Philippines, I have conquered the fear of cooking.
Congratulate me!
