I was quite surprised that I got a ‘friend’ invite from the Chuckie Dreyfus in my Facebook account. Kinda cool that somebody famous is befriending me (well at least in Facebook).

We may not know each other personally but we sure have one thing in common – WordPress! He’s been busy spearheading the Pinoy WordPress community among other things. I think this is a really great cause of establishing the Pinoy WordPress users in the Philippines and all over the interwebs. Join the community in the temporary message board that he put up.
I’d say his celebrity status contributed to the rapid growth of the community. It would not gain this much popularity if it had been organized by some random WordPress advocate. Hats off to you Chuckie! It would greatly speed up your efforts if keep in touch with somebody named Yuga – the blogging god of the Philippines.

I just got hold of Pupil’s sophomore album – Wildlife.

It’s currently playing in my iPod as I write this entry. Cannot give a review about it yet as this is just her maiden voyage in my ears so to speak. No matter how much I try to distinguish the sound from the Eheads of yesteryears, I can’t help but think that I am still hearing the heart and soul of Eheads. No disrespect meant for Pupil members – Yan Yuzon, Dok Sergio and their new drummer Wendell Garcia. It’s just that Ely Buendia trademarked a certain pitch and sound in my ears.
Hearing the sound fragments of Eheads’ members in their respective different albums, how I wish that they’ll do an encore of sorts. Fans of Eheads like me will have to cope what we have now. I’m just glad that the fab3 (Marcus is busy surfing in La Union last I heard) are still out there in the music scene and giving fans their money’s worth.

A song from the Mamas and the Papas was playing on ABC Classics this morning. Felt very soothing and hypnotic in some way…

*Part 1 is here while Part 2 is here.*
It’s getting late after watching the dolphin show. Pen and I are figuring out where to head to next. Well actually, we are looking for the nearest place where we could eat.

But before we ate, we went to…
THE LUGE!

Just got back from the Lantern Festival together with friends from former work in the Philippines. This year’s theme is ‘Underwater Adventure’. Lanterns of all shapes and sizes are underwater creatures.

One of the Pagodas in the entire Chinese Garden.

A view of the skyline in the background.

Sunrises are also lovely, but I think I have not observed as many sunrises as I have sunsets. Plus, there is more warmth to a sunset’s color than there is in sunrise.
The sunset can be observed from my bedroom window indirectly. The cars passing are either moving directly away or towards the sunrays. If I stick my head out a bit I can see the sun through a tree, which is quite awesome.
Sunset from my bedroom window:
Since I am on the eastern coast of Australia, I can’t watch the sun sink on the water. The kind of sunset the coast of Manila boasts of. I do remember watching the sunrise in Batangas coastlines.. I have yet to do that here. But who in their right mind would stalk the darkness of early morning by a public beach in a Sydney suburb?
Sunrise from our lounge window:
It is now spring, and sunsets are becoming much later than usual. It is currently 5.21pm and the sun is still up, which is still normal to my perspective. In summer, it can still be light even at 7.30pm.
I can’t wait for this Sydney summer to come. December can’t come any faster.

Went to Singapore Bike Fest 2007 last Saturday at Suntec. There were lots of big bikes, vespas and Harleys. But none of those American Choppers kind of bikes.

Singapore Bike Fest 2007
I was there from 1pm to 6pm. Took a LOT of pictures but haven’t processed most of them yet. Here are some pictures that I was able to process as of this entry.

There I was happily lugging the laptop to work, eager to start on the day’s tasks… Oh crap, the network doesn’t work in Vista. So much for enthusiasm. Way to go for motivation. Thanks a lot.
