Now onto the entry itself:
OK. Where were we? Aah yes, Pen and I just left Underwater World to head off to…
Dolphin Lagoon!
Now, transportation in Sentosa is virtually free! There are lots of shuttle buses that roam around the island. So from Underwater World, we just hopped into the Red Line bus to reach Dolphin Lagoon. It was a 30mins ride I think and we get to have a free tour of the island.

I have to divide the Sentosa date to a 3-part series as we have tons of photos from the whole day affair. Sentosa is a small isolated island from the mainland Singapore itself. It is a spot for the tourists in Singapore. Sentosa has 3 man-made beaches, various tourist attractions and a lot of sight-seeing views.
On to Sentosa!
People can reach Sentosa Island in various ways. They have a dedicated bus line from the mainland to the island, you can take cabs, you can ride the express MRT, you can even walk the bridge to get there but Pen & I took the best way (and most expensive of all choices) to get there….

I’ve joined a gang of wacky pinoy photography enthusiasts here in Singapore. In this day and age of digital world, we’re practically meeting everyday via their message boards.
Then when they announced a photoshoot of a professional model, I grabbed the chance and listed myself to join them. We had the shoot at the Chinese Garden (a long 47 minutes MRT ride) and here are my newbie shots…

We spent Pen’s 2nd day here in Singapore meeting friends. I have to work from home that Friday so Pen will not be left alone in the condo. Before having lunch with Marla, Mark, Ambie and Arnold, we went for a swim first.
The Pool. Since it was a Friday morning, there was virtually nobody swimming. Unlike during weekends, the pool is like a Benetton commercial – united colors. Hihihi
Kiddie pool. You can see the gym in the background and the children’s playground in the upper portion.

Our first stop in Singapore – the famed Jurong Bird Park.
The park was a good 53 minutes train ride (from Simei station to Jurong station, the information table says the ride will be 53 minutes and so it was!). We need however to ride another bus from Jurong station to the park itself, it was probably around 10-15 minutes ride.
*note: you will be seeing a lot of solo shots of me and Pen. It’s one of the downside of sightseeing with only the two of us.

After a week long break and sightseeing, Pen and I are now ready to update janep.
I’m still uploading images (after careful selecting and picking nice shots) so we’ll do this on a day to day updates.
Pen is already back in the Philippines since yesterday and I’m still doing a little bit of a cleanup with all the rummage she left behind. I’m still catching up on sleep (I was dozing off in front of my laptop in the office!). We had a blast during her stay here. The fatigue and foot aches from all the walking were all worth it.

Pen: I’m still recovering from tired feet and little sleep. I was asleep almost the entire flight back to Manila plus the car ride to Laguna.
I waited for Pen in the first class Changi airport. With my trusty camera with me, I was taking shots of things and signs inside the airport.

Broadway’s King and I musical!
She’ll be here from Aug8 (tomorrow) until the 15th. It’s a weeklong stay full of activities and sight seeing.
We’ll update the site as we roam around Singapore.

Yep. Pen is back in the country since Saturday night (Aug 4). Her first complaint? The very hot weather they have in the Philippines. Ha! Compared to when she was in Sydney, it must have felt like hot knife through a butter. I told her, expect the same weather here in Singapore minus the smog and pollutions all over Manila. It’s generally a good weather here in Singapore. Yes, sometimes it’s hotter than Manila but the trees all over compensates for that plus the fact that there’s no smog here.

I’ve already mapped out our itinerary when she comes here on Wednesday. It’s a full packed itinerary that I wish we can survive. We also hope to meet some friends here (Marla and family & Nandy and family) if schedule permits.
