Blog Awards 2007 Aftermath

Blog Awards
No. I didn’t won those glasses. The one on the left is Ederic’s plaque for the Globelines Special Award under Pinoy Ako category. The one on the right is Markku’s plaque for winning the best plugin award for his iPap plugin. Since Ederic wasn’t there and Markku’s taking pictures everywhere, I volunteered to hold the plaques from Markku and took the oppurtunity to have my photo taken. Thanks jester!

Blog Awards
Though I didn’t win those plaques and the coveted iPod, I won 2 free movie tickets from SM. Well, better than nothing. I must admit that if I won the iPod again, I would claim my 15minutes of fame on the stage when I accept it. Haha. People everywhere there were casting spells and curses on me if and when I won the iPod. Wala naman akong ginagawang masama ah. Masama bang umasa uli na manalo? hehe.

Okay, off to the obligatory link love…

It was nice meeting bloggers in the real world. Tess of Prudence and Madness, Pierre of Jester-in-exile and me were seat mates during the whole ceremony.

Blog Awards
We were originally seated on the balcony but went down since there were many vacant seats left. The invocation of Father Stephen was cheered on by the bloggers but one cried foul. You should take time to read the prayer (you really should) and see what the fuss Benj made. I feel for Benj and do hope it will not stop him from attending the future gatherings.

Kiven was a bit bitter (or very bitter for that matter) not only for not winning the Best Theme award but also for showing the wrong theme in the presentation of finalist. Tampururot tuloy si mokong at di sumama sa afterparty. Another thanks (and link) goes to Markku for the ride on the way to Hulahula bar from RCBC together with Karla (who has nice set of photos from the awards here) and Joey.

The afterparty was great. Foods and booze were flowing. The only problem is, the tables were separated. We were far apart from each other. I had the oppurtunity to chitchat with Sasha and Rico. FiredEyeBoy was the first to leave. Chris and Poell taught me how to go about blog to profit and I will be registering soon after finishing this entry. The now famous Shari is there with us and so is the colorful LA with his coat and yellow polo. Apples was there too who I should remember to give a copy of Sassygirl and Windstruck on iBlog3. Heneroso, utakGago and their group joined us when some of the seats were vacated. Pierre provided the stories from politics, sex, blogspot vs wordpress, organizing the steal-the-ipod-from-aj mission and anything under the sun (or moon) topic. To Juned, Jun and Jomar who I first met during the BlogCon, great to see you there once again - active na active na kayo sa organizing committee ah.

Kudos to the organizers and volunteers and of course to all sponsors and donors. We sincerely hope we will have another get together some time soon.

yan ba ang dahilan kaya mo binoycott ang afterparty?

See you next time.

[...] was having so much fun that I practically agreed to watch Sassygirl and Windstruck , vowed to read Perfumed Garden and Kamasutra, and promised to research my site’s page rank. [...]

I was told to prepare myself from ambushes after I got the iPod. That’s why I immediately went home after the picture taking and missed the after-party. The price of 15-minute fame. *sighs*

  9. Penon 03 Apr 2007 at 11:45 am

sabi ko nga I’m missing out. Kung nanalo si Ajay ng chicks dapat meron din akong take-home. =P

By that I meant food!!! [seriously =P and I heard there was open bar?? grr]

  10. Sharion 03 Apr 2007 at 3:22 pm

Haha buti na lang talaga. Kita mo nga, kahit di mo napanalunan yung iPod, ang dami pa ring masamang balak sayo (para lang sa OhMiBod lolol). :p

    Famous, nyeh.
