Kiddie Pics

October 31st, 2006

Some scanned kiddie pictures of me and Pen.

little AJ
This is obviously taken in a swimming pool. It’s the family’s favorite pool whenever we are in Orani, Bataan.

little Pen
I can’t say much about the history of this photo. Si Pen na lang mag-describe.
Notice her very rounded cheeks. Sarap Kurutin. Parang siopao. Hehe. (joke lang)

Mathematical biology

October 28th, 2006

(Virus dynamics, Nowak and May, 2000)

There is a shepherd and a flock of sheep. A man comes by and asks, ‘If I guess the correct number of sheep in your flock can I have one?’ The shepherd says, ‘Please try.’ The man says ’83.’ The shepherd is amazed; it is the correct number. The man picks up a sheep and walks away. The shepher shouts, “Hang on. If I guess your profession, can I have my sheep back?” The man says, ‘Please try.’ The shepherd says, ‘Mathematical biologist.’ The man is amazed, ‘How did you know?’ ‘Because you picked up my dog.’

sadako puzzle

The user is probably looking for Sudoku puzzles. But then again, I searched it over the web and it returned several hits.

Photoshop Colorsketch

October 23rd, 2006

I have some time to kill yesterday while doing some work so I put an effort to a tutorial I stumbled upon.

This is a rather quick and easy photoshop tutorial and for sure, anyone can do it.

Try it. It’s very easy.

A quick trip to Greenhills

October 22nd, 2006

It all started with the FrancisM shirts that me and Anthony would like to buy. Since he gave me the Diggnation shirt, it would be best to give him something in return.

There are initially two designs from Francism’s clothing. A black one with a gold bling-bling print.

and a white one with the same art but with a different color

Natin99

October 13th, 2006

E-Heads’ 8th album.

Natin99I stopped buying E-Heads cassette tapes with their Sticker Happy album. After Sticker Happy, the band started to lie-low from the scene (or at least from the noon time shows). Parokya ni Edgar and RiverMaya were stealing the top spot from them and it seems the Heads didn’t really care.

So with their eight album, it didn’t quite created a stir. With their lack of tv appearances and heavy rotation on the radio stations, Natin99 came and go. The album was released on 1999 – hence Natin99.

(Don’t I look edgy?)

UNSW BABS research team Tanaka
Team Tanaka. From L-R: Mark, Hui Yee, Fabio, Renault (nakagradweyt na, di na yata sya mananatili), ako at si Checks. Not present in picture: Shamin.

Yup, iyan kami.

Canberra.

October 7th, 2006

I went to visit Joy in Canberra last week, and here are some pictures. Joy was a terrific host :) She took me around the city. I was only there for 24 hours (yes we counted, 4pm Sat to 4pm Sun) plus 6 hours total ride to and fro.

(pictures in link… not all with captions, I got lost in the editing I can’t tell which picture is which in the code anymore so I essentially gave up :P )

AJ: Lotsa images after the click. Sit back and enjoy the show (it may take some time to load).

Pen: ADDENDA: Credit to Joy who took most of the pictures with the birds and of course those shots with me in it!

If you look closely at the Mt Ainsle picture you’ll see some people taking pictures at the foreground, left– I heard them speak and they’re Pinoys. Hehe. Kodakan at lakwatsa. Sabi ni Joy libu-libo daw Pinoy doon, approx 4,000 out of 25,000 pop’n. tama ba Joy?)
