Today is Labor Day for most of the people. But for us here at home, today is the bday of our mom.
We used to go to Antipolo Church during this day as today also starts the feast of the Virgin of Antipolo. We would go there to hear mass, touch the Virgin, buy suman and kasuy then go home for the celebration. We stopped the tradition because the crowd that goes there has increased ten fold. It isn’t practical anymore to spend most of your day making way through traffic.
Today, we just prepared a small handa. It’s just pansit and halo-halo for us and whoever drops by. I think it’s just fitting to stay at home and just lounge around. With the unbearable heat in the country, the next best thing we could do is to have an unlimited servings of halo-halo.
