Current TV Series

Once you watch TV shows without commercials, it’s pretty hard to go back.
I’ve been watching lotsa HDTV series releases. Even though I do not have a DSL line at home, I’m pretty swamped up with the current shows at the US.
I’m finishing off Prison Break at home.
This drama focuses on a prison designer who gets himself thrown into one of his own prisons to help his falsely accused brother escape death row. Described as in the vein of The Great Escape, the series will unfold over 22 episodes, charting the course of a single break.
This show is great. I’m currently at ep12 and the series is still ongoing. I think it will not go into another season as the gist of the story can be told in only one season.
Lost is still stuck up into ep9. I think ep10 is not released yet. The much hyped tv series is actually surviving it’s hype. The show promises surprises and twists with the mystery of the island is yet to be known.
Smallville is also stuck in ep9 – Lexmas. I especially like this episode. Once in a while a show needs a breather like this. Fun but intriguing episode.
I also started L Word. It is somewhat like Sex and the City but imagine the story revolves on 6 or 7 lesbians. Sex scenes are also somewhat explicit. Heard that this is Rated R in the US? I got the whole season1 but I’m still at ep11 I think.
Along with L Word, I started Desperate Housewives. Medyo hindi ko (pa) nagugustuhan. I am at ep4 (I think) in season1. Because Pen doesn’t like Teri Hatcher, it somehow rubbed in me. But she was able to finish season one and I’m supplying her with season two.
The prized possession of all is MacGyver. I’m at ep14 S1. Even as I type this, the theme song is playing on my head (parang on cue na nag-play hehe). Obviously, the cinematography and audio dubbing is not that good as what we have now, but that’s not what matters. Everybody loves MacGyver!
Topping it all, is Initial D or make that Project D. I just finished ep 21-22 last night. Brings back the memories when we first watched the first Initial D episode in UP. The anime is still great. Still improving mind you.
I almost forgot, we bought 24 Season 1 last Saturday. Pen has the copies now. I’ll have a look at it once she’s done with it.
*I forgot to add Numb3rs. This is also a very good show. Being a exposed to the field of mathematics, there are a lot of reference to theories and equations that a ‘normal’ viewer may not be able to relate. The show is very CSI-ish but uses mathematical equations to solve a crime problem. I finished up to ep13 of season1. I’m still on the lookout for the next episodes.

McGyver!!!…..sa McGyver unang lumabas, kung hindi man una sigurado akong isa sa mga unang TV guest appearances ni Teri Hatcher….siya si Penny Parker, ang kaibigang actress ni Angus McGyver…hehehehe……since nanunuod ka ng Desperate Housewives, ayos makita ang pagkakaiba niya nun at sa ngayon….
speaking of Desperate Housewives, nung una di rin ako natutuwa, pero later on nagustuhan ko na rin….magagaling rin mga artista eh, ganda rin naman ng mga twists sa stories…
at siyempre, regarding sa initial d, da best pa rin! pahiram ako!!!!! nauna ka na sa akin, i haven’t downloaded any of the episodes ngayon kasi wala na ko internet connection, back to the old drawing board of hiram at burn…hehehe
aba, buti ka pa sunod-sunod sa Prison Break, ako… dami ko na-misssss.
anway, 24 started d other day. ASTIG!!!! First 2 epi, nakaka-bigla….
nainis lang ako coz yday d next 2hrs, di ko napanood… pinag-OT ako.
pero ok talaga!

@ray: kaw naman kasi, magpakita ka na rito sa makati. suplayan kita ng epektos. DVD pa! ganda na ng initial D!! astig yung current na kalaban ni takumi – ‘God of Hand’. kalaban ni keisuke – ‘God of Foot’. Go figure.

try mo HOUSE MD. it’s a good one also. House is a very bitter, sarcastic, anti-social doctor. Marami syang issues pro he’s d best in his field. He’s also crippled… basta try nyo panoorin… heheh
i just got smallville ep10 and lost ep10!
convert ko na to dvd eps 6-10. hehe

PEN sorry po kung nagkamali ako, pero tama ka hindi ko gusto si Teri Hatcher sa MACGYVER, napaka-arte eh….matagal na kasi yung sa paglabas niya sa MACGYVER baka kaya di na niya sinulat…1986 ata una niya guest appearance dun sa show na MACGYVER….
