Hannibal, American Psycho, Batman ulit, etc.

Naghalungkat at nakabili ako ng Hannibal Lecter Trilogy and Must Love Dogs. Napanuod ko na lahat uli (except Red Dragon) by now, iba talaga yung Silence of the Lambs.
Hehe.
=======
Kainis.
No, hindi naman ako nag-oobsess kay Bale. Mejo freak coincidence lang na hinahanap ko mga thriller-suspense movies ngayon (resolution ko yan, wag nang mag-inarte sa thriller movies, pero di ko pa din kinakaya ang The Ring Series), and at the same time inuulit-ulit ko ngayon si Batman Begins ni C. Nolan. I stumbled on this quote by Bale in looking for the Psycho details:
…. Christian Bale, on his transformation into Patrick Bateman for American Psycho (2000): “The character is so vain and obsessed with his looks. While the psychology of the character was something that I could perform, you can’t fake the physicality. Being English, I tend to enjoy going down to the pub far more than going to the gym, so it was very unnatural for me. I just had to convince myself that I loved it, which was the most difficult thing about playing this part. Working out is incredibly boring. I swear its true that the bigger your muscles get, the fewer brain cells you have. I found I had to stop thinking when I was in the gym because if I thought about it, I’d realize how ridiculous it was that I was pumping iron when I could’ve been out having a drink and a cigarette and enjoying some lunch. I did three hours a day for six weeks with a personal trainer and some time before that. I ate an awful lot during training and then almost nothing during filming.”…..
Hehehe, nakakatawa itong mga Briton na ito.
If I remember correctly, Welsh Bale was cast for Bateman (Psycho) after DiCaprio declined the role. Not being a big fan of DiCaprio, it was sort of a relief. No offense to the Leo-gals out there. He was great when he was younger (”What’s Eating Gilbert Grape” and “Growing Pains”) , malas lang kasi masyadong hyped yung Titanic.
hi there.
Speaking of Christian Bale: have u seen The Machinist??? Where he lost some weight? Actually “some” is an understatement. Kasi para na talaga syang skeleton. as in.
then after that movie, he shoot Batman Begins… oh di ba, hirap nun. onti ng time-span ng both movies. Sayang, i can’t remember kung saan article ko nabasa na after d The Machinist eh he ate a lot of burgers/fastfood so he can regain his weight… oh well, hanapin ko nga.
