PS2: God of War

AJ Jorge August 3rd, 2005

Most of you know that I’m a Diablo2 freak. Especially during the times when Pen and I used to play in a network. I have a barbarian character while Pen has an assassin character. We teamed up to fight the evil Diablo and Baal.

When PS2 came in our lives, I hardly play PC games anymore. I’m more of a hack-and-slash player (much like diablo) and I liked Prince of Persia Sands of Time very much. It was a kill-everything-that-blocks-your-path game.

When these two favorite games of mine are merged into one game, expect a blast. God of War is the game of the moment. The gameplay is good, the graphics is awesome, the moves are great, the puzzles are neat, levelling up is cool, the setting is superb. Everything in this game exceeds my expectation. In the game, you play the character of Kratos in a 3rd person view. The setting of the game is the Greek mythology. You get to meet the gods in your quest. There’s Athena, Medusa, the Oracle, Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, etc. For me it is much like the Diablo gameplay with the Prince of Persia Sands of Time graphics. There are a lot of combo moves which equals Diablo?s level up abilities. There are also lots of puzzles that will force you to think for a strategy before you can continue your quest. There?s a life gauge and a magic gauge much like Diablo?s life and mana gauge. I could go on-and-on hypeing this game but it would be best for you to at least try it out. I heard that Noims and Chard are already playing it. :D

  10. [...] I almost stayed in bed this morning though and contemplated of having a rest day. If not for Maan, I’ll be at home playing God of War (which incidentally I finished last Saturday). See, I agreed to meet a friend of her friend who will be going to Singapore this week. I burned them a copy of Smallville S4 and I will have to give it to the person this lunchtime. [...]
